  • The UMass Turing Summer Program for high school students is a free 3 week program for high school students run by UMass. Program Overview: The UMass Turing Summer Program is a three week-long summer program for High School students who have an interest in or would like to learn about Computer Science and how computing can be used to address challenges in areas such as healthcare, energy, and many others.
    How to Apply?: The College of Information and Computer Science is offering this program at no charge to local students. Students will need to pay a nominal fee to obtain a UMass ID card and to process the registration paperwork. This fee will be waived for any student for whom it poses a hardship. To apply for the program, please fill out the google form available at the Turing program website. https://lass.cs.umass.edu/turing/
  • Starting next year, some colleges will start requiring test scores for admission again. Reminder: If you are a student on free/reduced lunch, you qualify for 2 free SAT fee waivers! Email Miss Garrity at garrityc@arps.org to receive your code.
  • Singers Wanted! To perform with one of the jazz combos at Amherst's newest venue - THE DRAKE - on May 18. We particularly need someone for Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up" as well as "Love for Sale" (inspired by the Shirley Horn version). Other song ideas are also welcome! Email nyek@arps.org
  • Seniors! Need to run your thinking regarding Life After ARHS by someone? Guidance Counselors will be outside of the Guidance Office ready to help you out on Thursday and Friday during Plus Block. Tell us what you'll be doing next year! We can help with figuring it all out too.
  • Seniors there are four scholarships with EXTENDED DEADLINES! First Generation College Students - Amherst Woman's Club, Mitchell Family, Barbara R. & Arthur Elkins (all $1,000) - Due 4/27. Below a 3.0 GPA and taking initiative??? Apply for the Francis E. Hart Scholarship - due May 1st.
