Wednesday January 31st, 2024 Today is Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day.! Please support the POCU Bake Sale after school. Happy snowy first day of the Second Semester! I hope the semester gets off to a great start for everyone, and I have to remind you all of a few things as well. Please remember that this is not an open campus. You should not be leaving the school grounds during lunch. Also,  students are no longer allowed to eat lunch in the main lobby.  There has been too much trash left behind in the lobby and hallways near the auditorium, where students are not supposed to be eating at all. You can eat from the bottom of the stairs where the flags are, all the way down the hall to the area in between the English and Tech hallways. Adults will ask you to move if you are eating in the main lobby. Also, please remember not to wander the hallways outside of the eating areas during your lunch block. Friday January 12th, 2024 Hello Students of ARHS, We are in the process of starting a School Site Council (SSC) at ARHS. The SSC’s main focus will be working on the School Improvement Plan (SIP), and ways to increase student and family engagement at ARHS. We will be meeting once a month for an hour, the day and time will be determined after the SSC is formed. Our SSC will have between 10-20 members. Ideally, there will be 4-7 representatives from three categories: school personnel, parents/guardians of currently enrolled students, and students. Please contact Mr. Sadiq directly if you are interested in being on the School Site Council. Depending on how many students are interested in joining the SSC, there may need to be an election.
