ARHS French Night 2025!
Did you know that the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris reopened on December 8th, 2024? The medieval Catholic cathedral was destroyed by a fire in 2019. In the past five years, donors from over 150 countries have contributed over 800 million dollars to restore the monument. Historical accuracy was the primary goal of the restoration - Notre Dame’s new spire is nearly identical to the original (built in the 1800s), and walls and frescoes in the cathedral have been meticulously cleaned and repaired. There are also some new elements, such as a symbolic phoenix replacing the rooster at the top of Notre Dame’s spire. Research by Maria Roof. Come to French Night at 6PM on January 15th to celebrate francophone culture with Live music by the ARHS Jazz band and our own cello artist Noah Ferris who was recently featured on NPR and enjoy sumptuous Moroccan catering, a chocolate fondue and crepe station and much more!
